NHS baseball: Tigers have busy week ahead

The Nevada Tigers have a busy stretch ahead.

Nevada's baseball team will participate in the McDonald County Tournament on Saturday.

Nevada takes on Mac County at 11 a.m. and then plays Webb Citty at 12:30 p.m. Mac County and Webb City will play at 2 p.m.

Next, Nevada will participate in the 37th Annual Bill O'Dell Tournament in Carthage next week. It's a pool play tourney. Pool A features Seneca, Webb City, Carl Junction and Nevada. Pool B features Lamar, Carthage, Mt. Vernon and Monett.

On Monday, Nevada takes on Webb City at 2 p.m. Nevada will resume tourney action in Carthage on Thursday with a 4:30 game against Seneca. Nevada will take on Carl Junction at the tourney on Friday. There will also be a game on Saturday.

"We'll take 'em one at a time," Nevada Coach Marty Atnip said of the busy week. "And whoever is available will pitch. I think we're going to see what we're made of this next week."
