Assistance needed in identifying theft suspect
Nevada police are investigating the theft of a package containing women's clothing that had been left on a porch by a delivery service. The incident occurred on April 13, at about 8 p.m., in the 200 block of West Arch Street in Nevada. The homeowner had installed a surveillance camera which captured a video image of the suspect stealing the package from the front porch of the home.
The video captures the male subject standing on the victim's front porch and ringing the doorbell several times. Since there was no one home at the time, the suspect began casually kicking the package to the steps and onto the ground, where he is observed picking up the package and departing the area.
In the video, the suspect attempts to act naturally, as if to belong there, smoking a cigarette before calmly walking from the scene.
Nevada Police Chief Graham Burnley said the video shows a "perfect example of how these guys work."
The suspect is described as a white male with slim build and average height wearing a ball cap and untucked long-sleeved shirt.
