Beck faces robbery charges
Timara S. Beck, 30, of Nevada, has been charged with second degree robbery in connection with a reported robbery that occurred at the Wal-Mart Supercenter April 14.
According to a press release from the Nevada Police Department, police were notified by Wal-Mart loss control staff that a theft had just occurred and the suspect had assaulted an employee while fleeing the store with stolen merchandise.
The initial report said a woman who was observed stealing several items of property from the store, the press release said. When confronted about the theft by a store employee, the woman attacked the employee and caused the employee to fall to the floor; then the suspect fled with the stolen property, according to the press release.
A detailed description of the suspect and vehicle provided by the stores' staff enabled responding officers to locate the vehicle and suspect in the 2500 block of East Austin, where she was arrested. She is being held at the Vernon County Jail on $25,000 cash or surety bond.
