NRTC students international champs

Thursday, May 3, 2012

Deca students from the Nevada Regional Technical Center's marketing and entreprenurial classes stand with the first place trophy and ribbons they won while participating in the International Career Development Conference in Salt lake City, Utah, during the last week. Several students took part in the conference, but these three students took the top prize in the Financial Literacy Promotion Project category of the competition. The team's winning project, a plan designed "to spread financial literacy throughout the community and school," was selected as the best from about 200 teams from all over the world. The nine participating students and their advisor/instructor Martha Cubbage returned to Nevada on Wednesday afternoon, May 2, to a crowd of parents and friends bearing balloons and flowers. Left to right, Taylor Norcross, Dominic Puller and Alexa Cubbage.
