Donkeys steal the show in NEVC fundraiser

On April 26, there was plenty of hilarious action and a good crowd at the Northeast Vernon County high school gym in Walker, where a donkey basketball tournament took place. Three games were played between the FBLA, Donkey Dodgers, Muleskinners and the Tail Twisters. The FBLA and Muleskinners played in the championship game with the Muleskinners winning. The young ones enjoyed free donkey rides during intermission. Jim Goodman won the 50/50 pot and donated his winnings back to the FBLA. Cherie Roberts provided much comedy as the nurse and emcees Delbert Bybee and Joe Barger entertained the crowd.
