Maybelle Rabon

Maybelle Rabon (Warner), 91, Palos Heights, Ill., passed away May 23, 2012. She was born May 5, 1921, in Stockton, Mo., to Ford Warner and Lottie (Jones) Warner. She was the beloved wife of the late Estel Rabon, who died in 1976, and the late William Boyd, who died in 1945.

She was the loving mother of Norma Alfrejd and her late husband, Donald, Ronald Boyd and his wife, Theodora, and Ford Rabon and his wife, Beverly; devoted grandmother of eight, Kristie Whittemore, April Matsui, Elizabeth Tran, Michael Alfrejd, Aimee Jimenez, Heather Alfrejd, Michelle Rabon, and Kimberly Rabon; cherished great-grandmother of nine, Marissa Jimenez, Sierra Whittemore, Faith Alfrejd, Daytona Whittemore, Michael Alfrejd Jr., Evan Tran, Caprice Whittemore, Matthew Jimenez, and Benjamin Jimenez; dear sister of 16, Pauline Gibbs, Calvin Warner, Noble Warner, Beulah Marie Vass, Tom Warner, Charley Warner, Polly Erwin, Georgia Havalias, Walter Warner, and the late Winburn Warner, Dora Weir, James Warner, Leland Warner, Harold Warner, Maxine Householder, and Betty McMillian.

Mrs. Rabon was a former payroll secretary for the Rock Island Railroad, and former member of the Railway Business Women's Association. She enjoyed cooking, and loved crossword and jigsaw puzzles.

Funeral services were held at noon, Saturday, May 26. Krueger Funeral Home in Blue Island, Ill., handled the arrangements.

The family will receive friends at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, on Wednesday, May 30, between noon and 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Newton Burial Park in Nevada with the Rev. David Rorabaugh officiating. Local arrangements are under the direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
