Celebrating our freedom

A fireworks display lights up the night June 30, at the Vernon County youth fairgrounds at Centennial Park. The event was well attended, and generous community donations reached the level of about $4,000, providing a dramatic display to be enjoyed by the community. Donations from more than 120 businesses, groups and individuals made the event possible, according to organizers.
