Thanks to information provided by residents, police have arrested two Vernon County men on felony burglary charges stemming from a June 24 burglary at a Nevada business.

A Nevada Police Department press release said that on June 24, the owner of an auto sales lot in the 1400 block of West Austin Boulevard reported an unlawful entry and the theft of hand and power tools valued in excess of $3,500.

Tips from the public led to the recovery of a significant amount of property, and Jeramie S. West, 35, was arrested on July 18, and booked into the Vernon County Jail on a charge of second degree burglary. On July 23, Justin L. Harrelson, 26, also was arrested and booked on a charge of second degree burglary. Both men posted bond in a matter of hours and remain free on bond; the bond amount was not available.
