ANDERSON, Mo. -- The Nevada Middle School seventh and eighth grade volleyball teams traveled to McDonald County Middle School Tuesday night and brought home some very promising results, for the most part.

The seventh graders got the night off to a strong start in the A game as they swept McDonald County in two sets. In the opener, things were very interesting as neither side got a decided advantage, but Nevada was able to eventually come out on top by a final score of 25-23. The second and final set was a little bit more one-sided, but still certainly not a blowout as Nevada took the victory by a final score of 25-15.

The night didn't go quite as well for the eighth gradersas McDonald County was able to pick up a two-set victory in a close B game, while Nevada took the A game in an equally even affair. In the A game, Nevada took the victory by the final scores of 25-22 and 25-17, while McDonald County took the victory in an even more evenly-matched B game by the final scores of 25-22 and 28-26.

The next action on the schedule for Nevada is set for Monday as both the seventh and eighth grade squads head to Joplin South Middle School.
