* Voted 4-0 to direct City Manager JD Kehrman to work out the details with the city attorney on an agreement to provide $15,000 in tourism tax money to the Bushwhacker Committee to cover the cost of bringing a nationally-known band to Nevada for the 50th Annual Bushwhacker Days celebration in June 2013.
* Voted 4-0 to accept the low bid of $9,720 from Applied Controls for a process control valve for the water treatment plant's reverse osmosis plant. This valve was part of the original design of the plant which allowed the operators to control the percent of recovery for the process, which extends the life of the filter elements, City Manager JD Kehrman told the council Tuesday night. The plant was designed for 75 percent recovery and without the valve the plant is currently operating at 83 percent recovery, which will shorten the useful life of the RO filter elements.
