Halloween fun in Vernon County

Several Halloween events are planned in Vernon County today and tomorrow.

Oct. 3O

* Anti-Van parents night, 7 p.m., in the Nevada High School auditorium. Anti-Van Chili Supper, 5-7 p.m., in the commons.

Oct. 31

* Safe Treats Parade, downtown Nevada, 3:30-5 p.m.; open to youth age 12 and younger.

* Treats Without Tricks, sponsored by the Nevada Elks Lodge, 4:30-7:30 p.m., at the Franklin P. Norman City/County Community Center, Nevada.

* Nevada High School Student Council Trunk or Treat, 4:30-6 p.m., in the Nevada R-5 School District Central Office parking lot, at the corner of Hickory and College, Nevada.

* Bronaugh Community Club Treats without Tricks, at the Bronaugh Community Building. 6-8 p.m. Bottled water, hot cocoa, cookies, candy and glow necklaces will be distributed to participants. Parents are encouraged to stop by if they need a break during their evening. Colors and coloring pages will be available to entertain the children.
