Thursday, November 1, 2012
Hundreds of children and their families filed through the driveway at Nevada High School, where a Student Council sponsored trunk-or-treat event was held. Above, members of the Nevada High School French Club, from left, Colton Whitley, Dustin Robinson, Nakell Baker and Jacob Dunaphan greet the ghouls, goblins, animals and princesses who filed by.

Nevada firefighter Beau Pickering puts a junior firefighter badge on Kenli Longabardi. Two fire apparatus were on display, and firefighters Kevin Scott and Taylor McKlintic also passed out the stickers to the participants. David McGriff of the Vernon County Ambulance District stood nearby; an ambulance was on display, but the huge turnout meant he'd run out of treats about an hour after the event started. Other groups participating including the Nevada Police Department, Youth Enrichment Services, the NHS Student Council, the Spanish club, ROTC, FBLA, FCCLA, and National Honor Students.
