Students in the Nevada High School Spanish Club and French Club are reaching out to children in other countries through the Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child program.

Students gathered a variety of items meant for children in third-world countries and packaged them in shoe boxes meant for boys and girls in a variety of age groups spanning from age 2 to age 14.

The students gathered items and filled the boxes with things like stuffed animals, hard candy, hygiene items like soap and toothpaste, socks, school supplies and more.

Student Abby Stumpff said she got involved "To help kinds in foreign countries;" and Spanish Club advisor Samantha Short said the students "really had fun" with the service project.
