NEOSHO, Mo. -- The Nevada Middle School seventh- and eighth-grade girls' basketball teams headed back out on the road Tuesday night to take on Neosho Middle School and came back with far less than favorable results.

Neosho didn't have much trouble putting up points in any of the four games that were played on the night, but the same couldn't be said for Nevada. By the time all was said and done, Neosho had completed the sweep, winning all four games by an average of more than 29 points.

Where that average got just a bit skewed was in the seventh-grade A game. In that contest, Neosho picked up the victory by a final score of 62-10. Things didn't get much better for Nevada in the B game, as Neosho's seventh graders completed the sweep with a 44-13 victory.

The eighth-grade games were a bit closer, but the results were ultimately the same. In the A game, Neosho picked up the win by a final score of 39-24 before moving on to complete the sweep with a dominant defensive performance in the B game. The final score in that contest was Neosho 21, Nevada 2.

Next on the schedule for Nevada is Monday, when both the seventh- and eighth-grade squads host Joplin North. Tipoff for the first game of the night is scheduled at 5:30 p.m.
