Loretta Sue Claspill
Loretta Sue Claspill, 58, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at her home following a lengthy illness. She was born on Feb. 4, 1954, in Fort Scott, Kan., to Floyd H. Kutina and Helen Marie Klontz Kutina. She married Carol L. Claspill on July 21, 1972, in Nevada, and he survives of the home.
Loretta was raised in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School in 1972. She worked at Citizens State Bank for a number of years. After staying at home with her family, she went to work for the Nevada Middle School Library from 1981-2010. She also worked at Nevada Speedway for 25 years. Loretta loved to golf with her sister Arlene. She attended the Pentecostal Assembly in Nevada, was a member of the Missouri Retired Teachers Association (MRTA), and the ladies golf association. Loretta loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors in addition to her husband, Carol, include one daughter, Amy Cameron and her husband, Eric, Leesburg, Va.; one stepson, Darrin Duffey, Harrisonville, Mo.; three grandchildren, Emree Cameron, Ty Cameron, and Brent Duffey; her mother, Helen Kutina, Nevada; one sister, Arlene Bowen and her husband, Bob, Nevada; three brothers, Mike Kutina, Eagle Rock, Mo., Rex Kutina, Nevada, and Mark Kutina and his wife, Ada, Nevada; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 23, at the Pentecostal Assembly, Nevada, with the Revs. Dennis Engelbrecht and Shelby Brandt officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery, Nevada. Friends may call now and until noon, Sunday, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 22, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her memory to the Nevada Middle School Library in care of Ferry Funeral Home, 301 S. Washington, Nevada.
