Area government offices close for holidays

City of Fort Scott offices will be closed Monday, Dec. 24, and Tuesday, Dec. 25, in observance of the Christmas holiday. Offices will reopen Wednesday, Dec. 26.

Bourbon County offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday. The courthouse will be open Monday, Dec. 31, but closed Jan. 1 for New Year's Day.

Government offices in the Nevada area will be closed Monday and Tuesday for Christmas. City of Nevada offices, including city hall, 110 S. Ash, will reopen at 8 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 26. The Vernon County Courthouse and other government offices also will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

The Fort Scott Tribune and Nevada Daily Mail offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday. Neither newspaper will be published Tuesday, Dec. 25.
