Roger Wayne Stone

Roger Wayne Stone, 43, El Dorado Springs, Mo., passed away on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at his home. He was born Dec. 10, 1969, in El Dorado Springs to Harry Milton Stone Sr. and Sharlee Carol Collins Stone.

Roger graduated from Nevada High School in 1987 and attended college for three years in St. Joseph, Mo.

Survivors include two daughters, Samantha Clark, Nevada, Mo., and Mercedes Stone, St. Joseph; two grandchildren; his father, Harry M. Stone Sr., state of Oklahoma; his mother, Sharlee Carol Garrett and stepfather, James V. Garrett, El Dorado Springs, Mo.; two brothers, Victor Stone and his wife, Julie, El Dorado Springs, and Harry M. Stone Jr., Wichita, Kan.; three sisters, Leslie Jones and Mistic Stone, both of the state of Oklahoma, and Kristi Abel, state of Texas; three stepbrothers, James Garrett Jr., Kevin Garwood, and Josh Balding; two stepsisters, Kim Garrett and Lindsay Garrett; several nieces and nephews; and his soul mate, Rachael Ohman, of the home. Roger was proud to have been a born again Christian.

The family will receive friends Monday, Jan. 14, from 6-8 p.m., with a brief service at 7:30 p.m., at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. Brent Bland officiating. Cremation will follow.
