Hume boys fall to NEVC

WALKER, Mo. -- Northeast Vernon County's Knights rallied for a 45-38 win over Hume Tuesday night, completing a sweep of the Golden Valley Vernon County Conference doubleheader.

Jacob Maus led the Knights to their win in the contest with 15 points, including 10 in the second half. Taylor Highfill added 14 as the Knights posted their second win of the season in 17 games.

Jeremy Lewis and Zach Smtih led Hume, with 17 and 14 points, respectively, as the Hornets' record slipped to 1-18 on the year. The NEVC boys are scheduled to visit Rich Hill Thursday night Hume travels to Montrose Friday.
