Woman injured in Monday accident

A Fort Scott, Kan. woman was injured in a single vehicle accident that occurred on Route K about two miles south of Nevada, Monday.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper Justin Leemasters, Shirley I. Greenway, 48, of Fort Scott, received moderate injuries when the 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier she was driving southbound ran off the roadway about 11:40 p.m. and struck an embankment.
Greenway was wearing a seat belt and was transported to the Nevada Regional Medical Center. The insured vehicle received extensive damage and was towed from the scene by Wescoat Wrecker Services of Fort Scott, Kan.
