Sending students and teachers hurrying out of classrooms and down from the second floor to take shelter on the first floor building of the high school.

At 1:30 p.m. Debra Workman, Nevada High School principal, announced to that the statewide tornado drill was starting, setting in motion the schools procedure followed when there is a tornado warning.
