Council to present revitalization award

The Nevada City Council will present its annual Revitalization Award during its meeting Tuesday night

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m., in the council chambers in the Public Safety Building, 120 S. Ash Street.

The award was to be presented at the March council meeting but the recipients could not attend.

The council will also present the first reading of an ordinance renewing the city's contract with the Western Missouri 9-1-1 Dispatch Center for dispatch services for the Public Safety and Public Works departments from Jan. 1, to Dec. 31, 2013.

Other items under consideration Tuesday will be the first reading of an ordinance authorizing a change order to the city's contract with Kenny Singer Construction Inc. for the Meadow Lane sewer project; the second reading of a contract with Lamar Outdoor Advertising for billboards and the second reading of a contract with the Vernon County Collector-Treasurer for collection of the city of Nevada's property taxes.
