Billy Allen Robinson
Billy Allen Robinson, 60, Nevada, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at his home in Nevada, following a lengthy illness. He was born on March 18, 1953, Baxter Springs, Kan. He was raised the son of Herbert A. Robinson and Sarah "Gladys" Mundell Robinson. He married Cynthia A. Hoffman on Oct. 16, 1982, in Riverton, Kan., and she survives of the home.
Bill was raised in Lowell, Kan., and graduated from high school in Riverton, Kan. He was part owner of Sound Control Systems in Kansas City for several years, general manager of Shaw Container in Kansas City for a time, and was warranty administrator for the Nevada Auto Mall until his semi-retirement when he went into the auto detailing business. Bill attended St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Cyndi, and their dog, Booboo, of the home; one daughter, Jolena Robinson, Baxter Springs, Kan.; one son, Chad Robinson, Joplin, Mo.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim Robinson and his wife, Sue, Joplin, Mo.; other family members include Claudine Hubbard, Dennis Phillips, and Dana Phillips; brother-in-law, Joe Hoffman and his wife, Cindi, Adair, Okla; sister-in-law, Denise Wilson and her husband, Kyle, Langley, Okla.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; other family members, Darlene Skaggs, Norma Jean Skrobot, and Bill Martin; brother-in-law, Andy Hoffman; and father and mother-in-law, Fritz and Margaret Hoffman.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Revs. Jim Robinson and Casey Whiteis officiating. Interment will be in Adair Cemetery, Adair, Okla. Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family receives friends from 7-8 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to the Nevada Regional Medical Center Hospice or the Vernon County Cancer Relief in care of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
