Nevada High School sports rescheduled

Wednesday, April 3, 2013

As is expected every spring, Mother Nature has made life very difficult for Nevada High School officials when it comes to making sure all scheduled spring sports games can be played.

The latest sport to join the list of those impacted directly by weather is tennis. Head coach Clay Wheeler's squad was scheduled to take on Thomas Jefferson Independent Day School, Tuesday, in Joplin, but that match was rained out.

The Nevada High School baseball team has had a number of days rained out this season, including the scheduled season opener against Joplin on March 21. That, along with Tuesday's tennis match have both been rescheduled.

The Joplin baseball game will be played in Joplin, at 4:30 p.m., April 17. The tennis match will be played in Joplin, at 4:30 p.m., April 8.
