"This means a lot to me, and I am truly, truly touched," Richard Daut, Nevada R-5 Teacher of the Year, said during the annual Teacher of the Year reception Monday afternoon at Truman Elementary School. "I would like to thank Kevin McKinley for nominating me for this award." Daut has taught in the Nevada School District for more than 20 years, ranging from speech and debate, to currently senior English and honors English.
