That really is Santa Claus throwing out the first pitch at the Griffons game Thursday with the Sedalia Bombers. No, it wasn't a stunt to convince game-goers that it really wasn't in the mid-90's at game time. It was part of the Vernon County Ambulance District's Christmas in July toy drive -- to collect new toys for the the ddistrict's annual program to provide toys for area children. In 2012, the Ambulance District served about 300 children.
