Bronaugh school district transferred the operation of their buses to Durham School Services.
"We expect better cost, better operation, better maintenance and more efficient routes," Superin-tendent Lyle Best said.
Bronaugh joins the El Dorado Springs school district in contracting with the company, which serves more than 350 school districts in 30 states with a fleet of more than 13,500 buses. Bronaugh will have four buses available for the next school year, two belong to the school and two will be supplied by Durham.
"We expect the cost to be comparable to doing it ourselves, maybe even slightly decrease," Best said.
Durham site supervisor Vanessa Hardy said the company mainly serves schools and provides charter work.
"The company is liable for accidents," she added.
Established in 1917, Durham began as a three-bus company specializing in providing transportation to special needs students.
