Land donors and advisory board members for The Children's Center hold their banner and stand on the property that will be the future home of the center once their $150,000 fundraising campaign is complete. Curtis & Sons Realty donated approximately one acre of land on North Mac Boulevard in Nevada on Thursday. Monty Curtis said he made the decision to give the land to the center because the work they do is important. The $60,000 value of the property puts quite a dent in the amount needed for a new center. More than $10,000 has raised been since the campaign began in March, thanks to organizations like the Eagle Riders who held a poker run and auction with food and auction items all donated. 3M has made a $17,000 in kind donation of products and services. There has also been a challenge grant from a local trust the board would like to see met by the deadline of December 1. Board member Jeani Longstreth said is a good start, but there's more work to do. Shown left to right, Jeani Longstreth, Loretta Rapp Percy, Monty Curtis, Vernon Ring, J.J.
