Required shot for eighth grade students

The state of Missouri requires all entering eighth-grade students to receive the updated tetanus booster known as the Tdap before the first day of school and present verification to the school. These immunizations are free at the Vernon County Health Department located at 301 N. Washington St. in Nevada. If parents believe that their child may be exempt from this requirement, contact the Nevada Middle School nurse prior to the first day of school at 417-448-2040.
