Alleged drug bust in Nevada Thursday
Vernon County Deputies, along with undercover agents from the C-Net drug task force, arrested five people from a Nevada residence on Thursday afternoon. Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher said two males and three females were arrested after a search of the residence turned up suspected methamphetamines, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a set of scales.
The Sheriff declined giving the address of the residence, but did confirm that it was in a trailer park on Atlantic Street. The sheriff said this is the second drug bust they have made at this trailer park this year.
Two of the people in custody had outstanding warrants for their arrest, Timothy McElory, 26, of Nevada and Amber Goodwin, 21, of Sheldon, for failure to appear.
The names of the remaining people arrested have not been released pending the filing of formal charges, but the Sheriff's Office did confirm this was a result of a three-day investigation into drug use at the residence in the trailer park.
All five people are being held in the Vernon County Jail. Sheriff Mosher said the investigation started from a tip they received through their crime tips hotline at tips@VernonCoSheriff.org.
