NRMC Gala travels back to the '20s

This years Nevada Regional Medical Center Gala was quite the event from arrival to the musical entertainment closing out the night. Nearly 200 guests were in attendance as the social hour began at 6 p.m. at the Elk's bingo hall.
Master of Ceremonies Mike Harbit of KNEM/KNMO Radio welcomed the guests promptly at 7 p.m., followed by remarks from NRMC Foundation chairman Sue Quitno, and Judy Feuquay, NRMC president and C.E.O., then the invocation by Dennis Painter.
Dinner was served by the Nevada High School ROTC, and catered by the NRMC Nutritional Services. Nearly 25 lots were donated by area businesses and individuals for the silent auction, which was deemed a success at the end of the night.
During the evening the crowd was entertained by a Charleston demonstration, followed by dance lessons by High School Choir students Carly Greer, Haley Lewis, Nakell Baker, Alivian Conner and Amy Shumaker.
Sue Quitno, Gala committee, announced that Helen Dahmer and Katie Hinkle tied as the winners of the award for the best dressed guests
The silent auction then ended and enthusiastic winning bidders claimed their items. The night ended with musical entertainment by Platinum Entertainment's Disc Jockey Marlene Scotten. The event was sponsored and supported in some fashion by nearly 50 businesses and individuals.
