Householder completes in state tournament

SEDALIA, Mo. -- Nevada Lady Tiger golfer Hannah Householder finished considerably more strongly than she started Tuesday, in the Missouri State High School Activities Association Class 1 Girls' Golf Championships, at the Sedalia Country Club.

Householder turned in a 93 -- seven strokes better than her opening-day score -- and improved from a tie for 48th place after Monday's first round to finish 39th overall with a two-day total of 193. Mount Vernon Lady Mountaineer Megan Pope, who was tied with Householder after the first round, shared 55th place with a two-day total of 201.

Jessica Dreesbeimdieke, Westminster Christian, won the individual state championship with a 147 -- six shots ahead of Mount Vernon's Ashley Childers. John Burroughs High School won the team title, with a combined two-day score of 683 -- 11 strokes ahead of second-place Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School.
