Fred Allen Prettyman

Fred Allen Prettyman, 74, of Nevada, Mo., died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at Via Christi Medical Center in Pittsburg, Kan. He was born Aug. 31, 1939, in Mulberry, Kan., the son of Fred William and Annabelle Lois Portwood Prettyman. He married Connie Hanna on July 7, 1957, in Fort Scott, Kan., she survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, Connie, he is survived by two daughters, Vicky Nation, of Nevada, and Toni Reece, of Pomona, Kan.; a brother, Bob Prettyman, of Nevada; and four grandsons, Blayne Nation, of Jacksonville, Fla., Bryan Nation, of Hereford, Texas, Victor and Emerson Reece, both of Pomona, Kan. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dorothy Schulze and Judy Cannon; and a granddaughter, Bayley Hanna Spillman.

Graveside services for Fred Allen Prettyman will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Deerfield Cemetery, Deerfield, under the direction of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home.
