Holiday notices

The Lights at the Lake drive-thru display at Radio Springs Park opens Wednesday, after the ceremonial lighting of the Mayor's Christmas tree at 6 p.m., with the first hour reserved for people wishing to stroll around the lake to view the display from a different perspective.

All city of Nevada offices, the Nevada Housing Authority and Vernon County offices will be closed Nov. 28 and 29, for Thanksgiving, and will re-open Monday.

Any Nevada Housing Authority tenants with emergency work orders during the holiday closing may call the maintenance on-call phone 417-448-9740.

The Franklin P. Norman City/County Community Center will be closed Thanksgiving Day, and will be open Friday, with a variety of activities throughout the day for children.
