Volunter Wilda Key stirs up some mashed potatoes before the annual Christmas dinner and toy giveaway begins at the American Legion's Leon Ogier Post No. 2 meeting hall on East Cherry Street in Nevada on Christmas Day.

The crowd lines up and stretches into the hallway as volunteers start serving a Christmas dinner of ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, stuffing, roll and pie to more than 100 guests.
