EL DORADO SPRINGS -- The Nevada Middle School seventh-grade boys' basketball team improved to 3-0 on the season and won the El Dorado Springs Tournament Saturday, defeating Camdenton in the title game.

In the championship round, head coach Robert Miner's squad had little trouble getting past Camdenton in a 32-17 win. Bronson Smith and Kayden Ast led the offense for Nevada with six points apiece, while Ast added four rebounds, four blocked shots and a steal.

Miner's squad was scheduled to get right back into action Monday, taking back to the road to take on Webb City, but those results were not available at press time.
