Nevada girls' swimmers fare well at Webb City
Nevada's Grace Reichard made two more state cuts at Tuesday's Ozark Invitational, at Webb City.
This brings her qualification total to five events. She has qualified for all eight events in her high school career and head coach Amyl Bishop said she expects Reichard to do so again this year.
Grace's times for qualifying, by event, thus far:
200 IM: 2:17.74
100 freestyle: 54.99
100 breaststroke: 1:10.39
200 free: 2:01.31
50 free: 25.56
While Reichard was continuing to zero in on the state qualifying times, the Lady Tigers finished eighth in the meet, with 112 points.
Glendale took first with 447 points, followed by Kickapoo at 323, Blue Springs at 251, Winnetonka at 163, Summit Prep at 160, Nixa at 147, Carthage at 127, Nevada, Monett at 109, Rogersville at 107, Central at 94, Ozark at 84, Joplin at 58, Bolivar at 38, Lamar at 34, Parkview at 26, and Hillcrest at 18.
The 200 medley relay team of Ashton Eador, Grace Reichard, Mikayla Mohrmann, and Abbie Landoll, was seventh in 2 minutes, 7.69 seconds.
Reichard won the 200 individual medley in 2:17.74. Morgan Ernsbarger was 13th in 2:45.44.
In the 50 freestyle, Eador took 14th in 28.56, while teammate Mohrmann was 15th in 28.60.
In the 100 butterfly, Mohrmann was 15th in 1:14.19.16 and Ernsbarger 16th in 1:14.72.
Emma Denman was 15th for Nevada in the 100 freestyle in 1:04.03.
In the 200 freestyle relay, Nevada finished sixth with Eador, Landoll, Mohrmann, and Reichard in 1:52.42.9.
Reichard was third in the 100 backstroke in 1:04.54.
Nevada also picked up points in the 400 freestyle relay, placing 11th with Ernsbarger, Reichard, Paige Webb and Denman, in 4:53.85.
