Boys' basketball make-up dates announced

Nevada High School athletic director and head boys' basketball coach John McNeley announced a pair of make-up dates this week that affect his Nevada Tigers squads.

McNeley's varsity, junior varsity and freshman squads were all scheduled to take on the Bears of Butler on Jan. 6, while the freshmen also were scheduled to head out on the road to take on Neosho on Dec. 13, but both of those games were called off due to inclement weather. In two separate emails this week, however, McNeley announced that both contests have officially been rescheduled.

The varsity, JV and freshman contests at Butler will be made up on Feb. 5. The first game on that night's schedule is set to tip off at 5 p.m. The freshman game at Neosho will be made up just five days later, on Feb. 10.

That contest is scheduled to tip off at 5:30 p.m., in the gymnasium at Neosho Junior High.
