Nevada swimmers win at Springfield
SPRINGFIELD -- The Nevada Lady Tigers swim team competed in a meet hosted by Springfield Central Tuesday, at the Springfield Natatorium.
The Lady Tigers outscored Joplin, 99-70, in one dual and lost to Carthage in another dual, 94-76. Senior Grace Reichard won two individual events -- the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard backstroke.
Paige Webb was first in the 500-yard freestyle, the Lady Tigers' 200 medley relay team placed first and the 200 freestyle relay team also placed first. Morgan Ernsbarger finished second in the 200 individual medley and second in the 100 butterfly.
Emma Denman placed third in the 50 freestyle, Mikayla Mohrmann was third in the 100 freestyle and Melody Reichard was third in the 200 individual medley.
Next on the schedule for the Lady Tigers is Saturday, when they head back out on the road for the Carthage Invitational. That meet is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., in Carthage.
