Nevada swimmers compete at Joplin

JOPLIN -- The Nevada Lady Tigers swim team competed Tuesday in the Joplin Duals event at Missouri Southern State University.

Senior Grace Reichard won the 400-yard freestyle in 4 minutes, 47.5 seconds and turned right around and was part of the Lady Tigers' 200 freestyle relay team that finished first in 1:58.74 -- missing a state championships qualifying time by .35 seconds. Nevada's 200 medley relay team placed first, Emma Denman was second, Ashton Eador finished third and Mikayla Mohrmann was fifth in the 50 freestyle,

Morgan Ernsbarger was fourth in the 200 individual medley and fourth in the 100 butterfly, Mohrmann was third in the 100 freestyle, Abbie Landoll was fourth in the 100 backstroke and Paige Webb was fourth in the 400 freestyle and sixth in the 100 breaststroke. The Lady Tigers' 400 freestyle relay team finished fourth.

The Lady Tigers complete their regular-season schedule next week before heading to Springfield, for the Southwest Missouri Championships.
