Carol Jean Duncan
Carol Jean Duncan, 81, (formally Crawford) passed away on Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada. She was born Oct. 25, 1932, in Nevada, Mo., to Wagner Rush Crawford and Wynona Grace (Kester) Crawford.
Carol graduated from Nevada High School and lived in Kansas City, Mo., for several years before returning to her hometown of Nevada. Her hobbies included playing bridge and bingo for many years. Carol also enjoyed watching game shows and spending time with her family. She was a past member of the Dianas, DAR, and the First Christian Church in Nevada.
Survivors include her mother, Grace Crawford, Nevada; one daughter, Connie J. Campbell and John, Kansas City, Mo.; one son, Larry D. Duncan and Anna, Nevada; three grandchildren, Travis J. Duncan and Brandy, Nevada, Gina N. Campbell, Kansas City, Mo., and Santana Duncan, Belton, Mo.; two great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Tucker Duncan, both of Nevada; two brothers, Raymond Crawford, Nevada, and Charles Crawford and Joyce, Lee's Summit, Mo.; and one sister, Pat J. McElwain, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her four month old son, Mark Allen Duncan, and her father.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, Feb. 28, at 10:30 a.m., at Moore Cemetery, Nevada, with the Rev. Hubert Fox officiating. Friends may call until Friday morning, at Ferry Funeral Home.
Contributions may be made in her memory to the Multiple Sclerosis Society in care of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
