Class 1, District 7 Tournament begins at Hume

HUME -- There were no upsets Monday night in the Class 1, District 7 basketball tournament at Hume High School.

Drexel's boys defeated Hume, 68-38, the Montrose Blue Jays defeated Ballard, 52-41, the Drexel Lady Bobcats rolled to a 66-7 win over Ballard's Lady Bulldogs and the Montrose Lady Jays downed Miami-Amoret, 45-21. Four more games were scheduled Tuesday, as the Appleton City boys took on Northeast Vernon County, followed by the Appleton City and Northeast Vernon County girls' teams, the Bronaugh Wildcats against Miami and the Bronaugh Lady Wildcats against the Hume Lady Hornets.
