WEBB CITY -- The Nevada Tigers basketball team concluded its regular-season schedule Thursday night, with a victory at Webb City, 35-29, spoiling the Cardinals' Senior Night festivities, at Webb City High School.

Both teams struggled with cold shooting and turnovers, but Tigers head coach John McNeley said it may not have been pretty, but it was still a win. Nevada led, 12-8, at halftime, only to see the Cardinals take a one-point advantage into the fourth quarter, up 20-19.

The Tigers outscored the Cardinals, 16-9, in the contest's final 8 minutes for their seventh victory in 23 games this season.

Senior Easton Mitchell led Nevada's offense with 10 points in the contest. Freshman Trey Gibson led Webb City with 11 points as the Cardinals closed out a 7-18 campaign.

Both squads now prepare for the Class 4, District 12 Tournament next week, at Carl Junction High School. Sixth-seeded Nevada plays Carthage at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, after a 6 p.m. game between fifth-seeded Webb City and Monett.
