Sharon Rae Beisley

Sharon Rae Beisley, 74, Nevada, Mo., passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Christian Healthcare, in Nevada. Sharon was born Jan. 13, 1940, in Nevada, to Ray Fowler Beisley and Emily Olive (Rich) Beisley.

Sharon grew up and lived all her life in Nevada, graduating from Nevada High School Class of 1958. After high school she attended Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Mo., then went on and completed X-Ray School at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Kan. Following school Sharon began working in Colorado in X-ray then eventually moved to Hewlett Packard, first in Colorado, then Oregon, and finally to California where she worked until her retirement in 2001. She then returned to Nevada where she enjoyed spending time gardening, reading, her cats, and watching birds. When time allowed, Sharon enjoyed volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity, the local museum, Meals on Wheels, and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Sharon was a deeply religious person who studied God's word intently.

Survivors include her sister, Janice K. Miller and husband, Elmer, Murdock, Neb.; one niece, Macia Miller; and numerous cousins and many friends. Of special mention is her cousin, Sue Rich, of Nevada.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, March 21, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada, with the Rev. Hubert Fox officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park in Nevada.
