Class 3 boys' state golf tournament concludes

FREMONT HILLS, Mo. -- The Nevada Tigers golf team finished seventh in the Class 3 state tournament Tuesday, at Fremont Hills Country Club.

Pembroke Hill won the state team championship with a two-day score of 637, with Logan-Rogersville and Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School tied for second at 640. Cape Girardeau Notre Dame was fourth with a 649 followed by West Plains (652), Hannibal (663), Nevada (667) and Priory (674).

Logan-Rogersville's Davis Alec Palen and Brett Windsor tied for the individual title with overall scores of 145. Palen was awarded the individual state championship.

Nevada's John Quitno tied for 17th place with a 161, Patrick Ferry shared 19th place at 162, Levi Palmer tied for 36th at 168 and Andrew Quitno finished in 79th place with a 180. Jacob Hammontree did not play in Tuesday's second round.
