Nevada Neptunes defeat Lamar in dual meet

The Nevada Neptunes swim team hosted its first dual meet of the season on June 18, taking a dominant team points victory over Lamar. The Neptunes won the meet, 1,512-958, in part because of an 84-48 advantage in swimmers competing in the meet.

The Neptunes came out of the meet with a total of 42 first-place finishes in individual and relay events and 133 finishes in the top three in those events.

Nevada's individual first-place finishes came from Addison Zamora in the girls' 6-and-under 25-yard freestyle and 25 butterfly, Molly Russell in the girls' 6-and-under 25 backstroke, Chloe Morris in the girls' 8-and-under 25 free, Katie Johnson in the girls' 8-and-under 100 individual medley, Emma Leisure in the girls' 10-and-under 50 breaststroke, 50 back and 50 free, Hannah Pryor in the girls' 10-and-under 50 fly, Abbigale Baldwin in the girls' 10-and-under 100 IM, Sophia Wehrman in the girls' 11-12 50 fly, Makayla Haner in the girls' 13-14 50 back, Mikayla Mohrmann in the girls' 13-14 50 fly, Carsten Warner in the girls' 15-18 50 free, Jessica Zamora in the girls' 15-18 100 free, 50 breast and 200 IM, Jacob Denman in the boys' 6-and-under 25 free and 25 back, Cody Leung in the boys' 8-and-under 25 free and 25 breast, Avian West in the boys' 8-and-under 25 back, Gage Miller in the boys' 10-and-under 50 fly, Gavin Urquidez in the boys' 11-12 50 free, Clay Landoll in the boys' 13-14 50 and 100 free, Jake Asberry in the boys' 15-18 100 free and 50 fly, and Thomas Prewitt in the boys' 15-18 50 back.

In the relay events, Nevada's girls' 8-and-under 200 medley relay team A, girls' 15-18 200 medley relay team A, girls' 10-and-under 100 free relay team A, girls' 200 free relay team A, boys' 8-and-under 100 free relay team A, boys' 8-and-under 200 medley relay team A, girls' 8-and-under 100 free relay team A and girls' 10-and-under 100 medley relay team A all took first.

The Neptunes got individual second-place finishes from Lucy Swearingen in the girls' 6-and-under 25 free, Elizabeth Culpeper in the girls 6-and-under 25 fly and 25 back, Johnson in the girls' 8-and-under 25 free, Clara Swearingen in the girls' 8-and-under 50 free, 25 back and 25 fly, Sydnee Baldwin in the girls' 8-and-under 25 breast, Abbigale Baldwin in the girls' 10-and-under 50 free, Bridget Naas in the girls' 10-and-under 100 free and 50 fly, Emma Bruce in the girls' 10-and-under 50 back, Brynn Wolfe in the girls' 11-12 50 free and 100 IM, Camryn Warner in the girls' 11-12 50 breast, Mohrmann in the girls' 13-14 50 free and 50 back, Anna Fulton in the girls' 13-14 100 free, Haner in the girls' 13-14 200 IM, Paige Webb in the girls' 15-18 100 free, Morgan Ernsbarger in the girls' 15-18 200 free, 50 fly and 200 IM, Elizabeth Prewitt in the girls' 15-18 50 back, Carsten Warner in the girls' 15-18 50 breast, Ryan Raney in the boys' 6-and-under 25 free and 25 back, Johnnie Bruce in the boys' 8-and-under 50 free and 25 breast, West in the boys' 8-and-under 25 fly and 100 IM, Owen Swearingen in the boys' 10-and-under 50 free and 50 fly, Gage Miller in the boys' 10-and-under 100 free, Ethan Gravely in the boys' 10-and-under 50 back, Nathan Johnson in the boys' 10-and-under 100 IM, Braden Russell in the boys' 11-12 50 free, Kalen Morris in the boys' 11-12 100 free and 50 back, Brock Marquardt in the boys' 11-12 50 breast, Urquidez in the boys' 11-12 100 IM, Landoll in the boys' 13-14 50 breast, Thomas Prewitt in the boys' 15-18 50 and 100 free, and Asberry in the boys' 15-18 200 free.

In relay events, the Neptunes also earned second-place finishes in the girls' 15-18 200 medley relay, girls' 13-14 200 free relay, girls' 11-12 200 free relay, boys' 11-12 200 free relay, girls' 10-and-under 100 free relay, girls' 8-and-under 100 free relay, girls' 15-18 200 free relay, girls' 13-14 200 medley relay, boys' 11-12 200 medley relay, girls' 10-and-under medley relay, boys' 10-and-under 100 medley relay and girls' 8-and-under 100 medley relay.

Molly Russell finished third in the girls' 6-and-under 25 free, as did Pryor in the girls' 10-and-under 50 free and 100 IM, Cailyn Hollands in the girls' 10-and-under 100 free, Avery Morris in the girls' 10-and-under 50 back, Lyvia Perrodin in the girls' 10-and-under 50 breast, Franki Fine in the girls' 10-and-under 50 fly, Camryn Warner in the girls' 11-12 50 free, Alyssa Wilson in the girls' 11-12 50 back, Fulton in the girls' 13-14 50 free, Leah Bogart in the girls' 13-14 50 breast, Janna Scotten in the girls' 13-14 50 fly, Marissa Matthews in the girls' 13-14 200 IM, Abbie Landoll in the girls' 15-18 50 free and 50 back, Sheila Lunkenheimer in the girls' 15-18 100 free, Webb in the girls' 15-18 200 free and 200 IM, Elizabeth Prewitt in the girls' 15-18 50 fly, Kolton Evans in the boys' 6-and-under 25 free, Johnnie Bruce in the boys' 8-and-under 25 back, Nathan Johnson in the boys' 10-and-under 50 free and 50 fly, Owen Swearingen in the boys' 10-and-under 50 breast, Benjamin Nowak in the boys' 11-12 100 free, Kalen Morris in the boys' 11-12 50 breast, Braden Russell in the boys' 11-12 50 fly and Brock Marquardt in the boys' 11-12 100 IM.

Those results were echoed as the Neptunes took third in the girls' 8-and-under 100 medley, boys' 8-and-under 100 free, girls' 10-and-under 100 free and girls' 10-and-under 100 medley relays.
