Barbara Ann Dury Conwell

Barbara Ann Drury Conwell, 74, passed away peacefully into her Lord's loving arms on Saturday, July 19, 2014. She was born on Nov. 30, 1939, to Maurice and Roberta Irene (Huff) Drury in Kirksville, Mo. She was married to Guy Conwell on Dec. 2, 1957.

Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.

She is survived by her children, Patty Conwell, Guylene Base, Kendra Conwell, Maurice Conwell, and Greg Conwell and his wife, Vera; grandchildren, Zackery Base, Latessa Conwell, Jeremiah Conwell, B. Emerson Smith, Megan Koca, T.J. Andula, Kira Price, and Silas Newton; and great-grandchildren, Maddison Base, Noah Base, MaKayla Conwell, Damien Conwell, and Lincoln Koca.

In addition, she is survived by her three sisters, Sarah Brock and her husband, Jack, Mary Ellen Luchetti and her husband, Les, and Letha Weathers and her husband, Doug.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one grandson, Quaid. She will also be missed greatly by her dog, Mickey.

Barbara is best remembered for being a wonderful and loving mother who was always there for her five children while they were growing up. She loved the Lord, and was a spiritual rock, and obedient servant ready to go to her heavenly home after a short illness. Barbara was an elder in her church, a leader of the Sobriety Plus Group, a prayer warrior, and healing mentor. She enjoyed quilting and was regarded as an expert with quilt coloring and her sewing skills.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 25, at Christ Church, in Nevada. Barbara's final resting place will be at Deerfield Cemetery, in Vernon County, Mo.
