Lonny Allen Beck
Lonny Allen Beck, 58, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, at his home in Pineville, Mo. He was born June 19, 1956, in Paola, Kan., to Billy and Barbara (Coleman) Beck. He graduated from Sheldon (Mo.) High School in 1974.
Lonny moved to Southwest Missouri in the early '80s and was employed by Cooper Concrete, where he became the plant manager and stayed for almost 20 years. In 2004, he quit Cooper and started his own concrete construction business (Gionny Construction) doing footings, slabs, grout and asphalt approaches in and around Northwest Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife, Gina, to whom he married Nov. 20, 1999; two daughters, Casey Frydrychowski (Jason) of Decatur, Ark., and Melissa Beck of Lowell, Ark.; three stepchildren, Ronny, Zachary and Johnathan, all of Springfield, Mo.; his parents, Billy and Barbara Beck of Sheldon, Mo.; one sister, Kelly Gerken (Neil) of Nevada; and two brothers, Audie (Judy) of Nevada, and Chad of Lamar, Mo. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Dylan, Coral and Leila of Decatur, Ark.
A memorial service and celebration of life is Thursday, Sept. 18, at Cooper Concrete, 400 Pinion Drive, Bella Vista, Ark., from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Mo. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Bella Vista (Ark) Animal Shelter.
