Warner picks up win over Warrensburg

The Nevada Tigers softball team defeated Warrensburg on the road Thursday, 10-6. Carsten Warner was the winning pitcher.

The Nevada junior varsity softball team defeated Warrensburg's JV team in a high scoring affair, 15-14.

Tigers head coach Tammy Holcomb said her team has played well of late.

"We're doing a great job," she said. "We're putting the ball in play. Making great defensive plays, keeping ourselves in the game. And that's what we need to do at this point."

UCM Tournament

Nevada wraps up play today at the University of Central Missouri Jennies softball tournament.

Nevada beat Holden 6-5 in their first game Friday. Maddie Hedges picked up the win. The Tigers then fell to Blair Oaks, 18-0.
