Council to consider taxi coupon contract Tuesday

The Nevada City Council will be considering the first reading of an agreement with M-NOD Taxi and Shuttle Inc. to operate the city's subsidized public transportation services for 2015, when it meets at 7 p.m., Tuesday, in the council chambers in the Public Safety Building, 120 South Ash St.
The council will also be considering the first reading of a special ordinance setting the taxi coupon rates for 2015, and a contract with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission for wayfinding signage on I-49.
Other items under consideration are the first reading of a general ordinance amending the city's personnel code, the second reading of an agreement to prepay the 2009 certificates of participation for the Franklin P. Norman City/County Community Center improvements, and Resolution No. 1415 approving a permit to allow the Wind Riders Motorcycle Organization to conduct a fundraising project Nov. 15 at the intersection of Austin and Osage. The money will be used to help needy families at Christmas.
