High School basketball tournaments on tap

Carthage Invitational:

The boys bracket for the upcoming 68th Annual Carthage Invitational basketball tournament has been unveiled, with the Nevada Tigers drawing the 3-seed.

The Tigers will open the tournament against sixth-seeded Monett at 7:30pm., Tuesday, Dec. 2.

For the tournament, Heritage is the top seed, followed by No. 2 seed McDonald County, No. 4 seed Joplin, No. 5 seed Neosho, No. 7 seed Carthage, and No. 8 seed Seneca.

The tournament runs from Dec. 1 through Dec. 6.

Carl Junction Invitational:

The Nevada Tigers girls high school basketball team has drawn the top overall seed for the upcoming eight-team Carl Junction Invitational.

The Tigers will tip off against Carl Junction junior varsity at 6 p.m., Monday, Dec. 1.

McDonald County drew the No. 2 seed, followed by Carl Junction at No. 3, Seneca No. 4, Carthage No. 5, Liberal No. 6, and Monett No. 7.

Harrisonville JV hoops tournament:

The Nevada Tigers will matchup against Hickman, at 5 p.m., Monday, Dec. 1., in the first round of the Harrisonville Junior Varsity Boys Basketball Tournament.
